This is a compact two-story cottage plan with 1,676 sq ft of total living area. The layout keeps the social spaces on the main floor and places all three bedrooms upstairs. Sensible. Neat. No hallway gymnastics required.

The facade has a warm Craftsman character with a broad covered front porch, square timber posts, stone pier bases, and crisp white trim. Horizontal lap siding gives the exterior a classic cottage rhythm. Black-framed windows add sharp contrast, while the blue front door delivers a cheerful little wink.

The roof design uses a steep main gable with dark asphalt shingles. A lower standing-seam metal porch roof adds texture and durability. Exposed brackets and rafter details keep the architecture lively without getting fussy.

We have more facade options of this design:

Burnt Umber Siding

4/11
house siding color Burnt umber

The big change is the siding color: now a rich burnt umber, which gives the facade a warmer, earthier punch. It deepens the Craftsman vibe fast, making the white trim look crisper, the black window frames sharper, and the blue front door feel even more like the star of the show.

That new tone also plays beautifully with the timber porch posts, the stone base, and the metal porch roof, tying the whole front elevation together with a cozier, more grounded face. The symmetry of the upper windows and the broad porch still keep things tidy, but the burnt umber adds extra character—like the house finally got its good jacket on.

Urbane Bronze Siding

5/11
house siding color urbane bronze

The big shift is the siding: changing it to urbane bronze gives the facade a deeper, moodier presence right away. The horizontal lap boards now make the two-story form feel crisper, while the white window trim pops harder and the black sash windows look extra sharp—very dressed up, no tie required.

That darker skin also enriches the Craftsman details across the front porch. The warm timber posts and brackets stand out more vividly against the bronze, the stone piers feel sturdier, and the blue front door gets a stronger cameo at center stage.

Even the metal porch roof reads richer now, tying the whole facade together with a neat, tailored snap.

Dusty Blue Siding

6/11
house siding color Dusty blue

The big change is the siding in dusty blue, and it gives the facade a cooler, calmer rhythm right away. It softens the tall front elevation, makes the white trim pop with extra snap, and lets the black-framed windows look crisp and neatly tailored—like the house put on its good jacket.

With that dusty blue wrapping the front, the warm wood porch posts and brackets feel richer, while the stone piers gain a sturdier, earthier counterpoint. Even the broad rooflines and centered entry read more balanced now; the whole facade feels polished, relaxed, and just a tiny bit smug about it.

Deep Navy Siding

7/11
house siding color Deep navy

The big change is the siding color, now a deep navy that gives the facade a richer, moodier punch. It sharpens the cream window trim, makes the black-framed windows pop harder, and turns the front door into part of a crisp, coordinated composition—very polished, a little dramatic, in a good way.

That deeper tone also plays beautifully with the warm wood porch posts, brackets, and railings, so the Craftsman details feel even more carved out. Against the gray stone piers and broad rooflines, the house reads more grounded and more tailored—like it put on its fancy jacket but kept the porch.

Soft Black Siding

8/11
house siding color Soft black

The big change is the siding: a soft black finish now wraps the facade, giving the house a moodier, sharper presence without turning it into a goth cabin. It makes the white window trim and fascia pop cleanly, while the black-framed windows settle in with a crisp, tailored look.

That darker skin also boosts the warm cedar porch posts, brackets, and railings, so the front porch feels richer and more grounded. Against the stone bases and muted metal roof, the facade reads more modern-farmhouse than sweet cottage—still charming, just with better cheekbones.

Olive Green Siding

9/11
house siding color Olive green

The big change is the olive green siding, and it completely shifts the facade’s mood. It gives the horizontal lap cladding a calmer, earthier character, making the black-trimmed windows and blue front door pop with a little extra swagger.

That new olive tone also plays especially well with the warm timber porch posts, chunky stone bases, and the muted metal porch roof. The broad roofline and symmetrical upper windows still keep the front tidy and Craftsman-leaning, but now the whole facade feels more rooted—like it finally touched grass.
