This design is a compact two-story Craftsman-inspired home with 1,688 sq ft. The plan places daily living on the main floor and all bedrooms upstairs. Neat, efficient, and not trying to be a maze.

The facade has strong front gables, deep eaves, exposed brackets, and a broad covered porch. Light horizontal lap siding forms the main wall finish, while vertical board-and-batten siding highlights the gable ends. Dark trim, black-framed windows, stone porch piers, and a dark shingle roof give it a crisp, grounded character.

We have more facade options of this design:

Dusty Blue Siding

4/11
house siding color Dusty blue

The big change is the siding, now finished in dusty blue, and it gives the facade a calmer, more tailored look. That muted tone softens the tall twin front gables and makes the vertical paneling up top and the horizontal lap siding below feel extra crisp—very collected, not shouty.

With the new color in place, the darker trim pops harder around the grid windows, the wood front door feels richer, and the stone porch bases look even more grounded. It turns the whole Craftsman face into something breezy and polished, like the house finally found its good sweater.

Deep Navy Siding

5/11
house siding color Deep navy

The big change is the deep navy siding, and it gives the facade a richer, sharper punch right away. It makes the layered Craftsman front feel more tailored, with the taupe trim popping cleanly around the windows, eaves, and twin front gables like it suddenly got its act together.

That darker body color also makes the stone porch piers, warm wood railing, and chunky front door read with more weight and contrast. The covered porch feels moodier in a good way, while the grid windows stand out crisply against the navy backdrop—very handsome, very composed, a little smug.

Soft Black Siding

6/11
house siding color Soft black

The biggest change is the siding color: a soft black that gives the facade a sharper, moodier Craftsman look without going full haunted-manor drama. It deepens the contrast against the warm taupe trim, so the twin front gables, exposed brackets, and crisp window casings stand out with much more definition.

That darker skin also makes the front porch feel richer and more grounded, especially beside the stone-wrapped columns and wood-toned railings. The black-framed windows and stained entry door now look more intentional, tying the whole elevation together into a neat, tailored composition with just a little swagger.

Charcoal Siding

7/11
house siding color Charcoal

The big change is the charcoal siding, and it gives the facade a sharper, more tailored attitude right away. That deeper tone makes the white trim pop around the layered front gables, eaves, and window frames, so the whole Craftsman front looks crisper and a little more dressed up—without getting stuffy.

With the siding shifted to charcoal, the porch details land differently too. The stone base columns, dark window grids, and rich wood front door all feel more grounded against the moodier cladding, while the horizontal lap siding and vertical gable panels gain extra contrast and depth; basically, the house put on a very good jacket.

Olive Green Siding

8/11
house siding color Olive green

The big change is the olive green siding, and it gives the facade a calmer, earthier Craftsman mood right away. It makes the layered front gables feel richer and more grounded, while the darker trim pops with extra crispness around the windows, eaves, and fascia—like the house put on a sharp jacket.

With that new olive tone, the stone porch piers and warm wood front door stand out more, and the covered porch feels even cozier. The black-framed windows look bolder against the softened body color, so the whole front elevation reads cleaner, deeper, and a little more woodland-chic—in a very smug, good-looking way.

Sage Green Siding

9/11
house siding color Sage green

The big change is the sage green siding, and it gives the facade a calmer, fresher Craftsman mood right away. Spread across the horizontal lap siding and tucked beneath the twin front gables, the new color makes the dark trim pop with extra snap—like the house finally found its favorite jacket.

That sage tone also softens the strong geometry of the facade, letting the board-and-batten gable faces, black-framed grid windows, and chunky porch posts feel more collected than contrasty. Against the stone porch piers and deep rooflines, it reads polished but easygoing; very tidy, a little leafy, and not one bit shy.
