Evergreen Escape With Timber Porch Floor Plan

This is a compact, single-level micro-cottage layout with a full-width covered porch and an efficient, no-wasted-corners interior plan.

The facade is a clean gable-front composition with a deep covered porch, expressed timber posts, and a generous glazed front wall for daylight and views. Vertical board-and-batten style siding reads crisp and modern-rustic. Roofing is standing-seam metal with simple eaves and a straightforward ridge line—no drama, just good performance.

The plan opens from the covered porch into a broad living space, with the kitchen positioned to the right for an easy “cook-and-chat” loop. A short central hall organizes the private zone, separating the bedroom from service spaces. Storage is placed up top for practical bulk handling, and the utility closet stays near the kitchen where it can behave.

  • Covered Porch: Full-width outdoor entry zone directly off the living room.
  • Living Room: Main gathering space, front-loaded for simple furniture placement.
  • Kitchen: Right-side run with sink, range, and an island for prep and casual seating.
  • Hall: Central connector that keeps circulation tidy and doors from colliding (mostly).
  • Bathroom: Hall-access bath with shower, toilet, and vanity.
  • Bedroom: Private room at the upper-left, buffered from the main living area.
  • Storage: Dedicated storage room at the upper-right for gear, linens, and the stuff that multiplies.
  • Utility Closet: Compact service closet adjacent to kitchen for mechanicals and essentials.
