Last updated on · ⓘ How we make our floor plans

This design is a compact, two-level modern retreat with a narrow footprint and a surprisingly generous interior.
The facade is a clean rectangular volume in stacked concrete masonry units, giving a calm, monolithic character. A tall, gridded window wall spans both levels, introducing strong vertical rhythm and plenty of daylight.
The entrance recess forms a sheltered portal, framed in the same block material for a seamless look.
The roof is flat with crisp edges, reinforcing the minimalist geometry and keeping the architecture delightfully un-dramatic on the outside while all the drama happens inside.
These floor plans are working drafts of the house and are available for download as printable PDF files. Ideal for studying the layout, marking up ideas, or impressing friends with very official-looking drawings.
- Total area: 400 sq ft (two levels at 10 ft × 20 ft each)
- Bedrooms: 1
- Bathrooms: 1
- Floors: 2 (Main Floor + Lower Floor)
Main Floor

The main floor measures 10 ft wide by 20 ft deep, for a footprint of 200 sq ft. It combines a bright living zone at the front with a compact private suite and service core at the back. A simple rectangle, smartly packed. Rather like a very organized suitcase.
At the front, a full-width living room enjoys the glazed wall. The layout allows for a sofa, chairs, and a central coffee table with circulation around it. Along one side, a linear kitchenette runs the length of the living space, making cooking and conversation happen in the same arena.
Near the middle, a straight stair hugs the side wall, leading down to the lower floor. Opposite the stair, the entryway provides a modest arrival zone with direct access to the main living area.
At the rear, the private zone holds a compact bedroom and an adjacent bathroom. The bedroom fits a double bed with side circulation, keeping the room efficient and tidy. The bathroom is placed between bedroom and entry, acting as a buffer and staying easily accessible for guests.

Lower Floor

The lower floor also measures 10 ft wide by 20 ft deep, adding another 200 sq ft of functional space. This level supports the main floor with storage, utilities, and a covered outdoor-like zone. Quietly doing the hard work while the upper floor gets all the compliments.
Arriving via the internal stair, a central hall distributes movement to all spaces. The hall keeps circulation simple and gives a small landing area at the bottom of the stairs.
To one side, a generous utility room provides space for mechanical equipment, storage, and hobby clutter that should never meet the sofa upstairs. On the opposite side, a porch runs the full width of the plan, acting as a sheltered extension of the house and a flexible transition area.
