24 Modern Spanish Style Houses Bringing Sunny Vibes to Architecture

Last updated on February 26, 2026 · How we make our designs

With these modern Spanish-style house designs, we’re making modern architecture feel more laid-back and full of sunny vibes. Here’s how.

Our modern Spanish homes started with familiar ingredients we all love. White stucco, clay tile roofs, arches that actually feel friendly, then we mixed in bigger windows, cleaner lines and a few storybook towers for good measure.

We pulled ideas from countryside villas, haciendas, Andalusian townhouses and those little Mediterranean courtyards you always screenshot, then asked how they would look if they had to handle school drop offs, grocery runs and the occasional pool float invasion.

Watch how terraces turn into real outdoor rooms, how simple plantings keep things relaxed, and how each entry quietly sets the mood before you even touch the front door.

As you move through these designs, keep an eye on what feels right for everyday life. The arches, balconies, patios, slim black frames and terracotta details are all doing a job, not just looking pretty, and you might find yourself planning where your morning coffee goes way sooner than expected.

This home leans into classic Spanish vibes with white stucco walls, deep brown wood accents and those lovely barrel tile roofs that instantly feel like vacation. The long arcade of arches pulls everything together and quietly guides you toward the front door while the upper balconies tease you with their perfect coffee-spot potential.

We borrowed cues from traditional countryside estates, then cleaned up the lines and enlarged the windows so it feels relaxed but still fresh. Terracotta terraces, simple iron railings and potted olives are not just for looks, they frame outdoor living spaces so you naturally spill outside and pretend this is your permanent weekend.

We wrapped the front with simple native planting, lavender and grasses that soften the strong geometry and make the whole thing feel relaxed and lived in. The big windows keep the façade open and friendly while the clean lines and minimal trim keep it from drifting into overly ornate territory, sort of like a traditional hacienda that discovered modern Pinterest.

Clean white stucco walls, dark roof tiles, and that warm timber front door all work together to give the home a quiet confidence on the street. We pulled from classic Spanish cottages, then trimmed everything down so it feels fresh and not like it’s wearing a costume.

The slim balcony, simple black railings, and paired lanterns frame the entrance and make the front door feel a bit like the main character. Low maintenance plantings and the raised planter at the corner soften the edges, guide you toward the steps, and keep the whole place looking put together even on days when everything else is a bit of a mess.

The arched openings and small iron balconies are borrowed from classic Spanish villages, but scaled to fit an everyday home that you can actually imagine coming back to after grocery runs.

We wrapped everything around a simple front patio so the entry feels like a tiny courtyard, with low walls guiding you in and giving the plants a cozy spot to show off. Terracotta paving, stone base accents and climbing bougainvillea do a lot of the styling work here, keeping the house grounded in the landscape and making it look like it has been here for a while even if it just got finished.
