Sunlit Stone Cottage With Garden Terrace Floor Plan

This is a compact single-story cottage plan with a clean two-bedroom layout and a practical daily flow. It is modest in scale, but not meek.

The facade leans into refined cottage architecture with a calm, symmetrical face. A centered arched entry gives the front elevation a touch of ceremony. Tall windows with shutters keep it crisp. The exterior appears to use natural stone or stone veneer with painted trim, while the roof is a low hipped standing-seam metal roof. Solid, elegant, and a little bit storybook.

The main floor measures 34 feet by 35 feet, for a planned footprint of about 1,190 square feet. The layout is simple and efficient. Public spaces sit across the front and center. Private rooms line the rear. Service spaces tuck neatly to the right. No wandering maze here.

  • Front Porch: Centered entry porch leading directly into the main living area.
  • Dining Room: Front-facing dining space on the right side. It also works as the arrival zone, which is bold and rather charming.
  • Kitchen: Centrally placed between the dining room and hallway, with a compact working layout and island/worktable space.
  • Pantry: Dedicated pantry beside the kitchen for extra storage. Small room, big ego.
  • Living Room: Large room on the left side of the plan, connected to the side porch.
  • Hallway: Central corridor linking the living core to the bedrooms, bathroom, and utility spaces.
  • Bedroom 1: Rear-left bedroom with a quiet position away from the main entry.
  • Bathroom: Full bath between the two bedrooms, fitted with a tub, sink, and toilet.
  • Bedroom 2: Rear-right bedroom, close to the bathroom and laundry area.
  • Laundry: Separate laundry room on the right side with direct access to the exterior patio.
  • Utility: Compact utility room beside the laundry for household equipment and support functions.
  • Side Porch: Secondary outdoor access off the living room.
  • Patio: Exterior access space off the laundry side of the house.
