Stone Ridge Mountain Ranch Retreat Floor Plan

This design is a compact single-story country-style retreat with an efficient, no-nonsense layout. It balances cozy private zones with a bright, social core where everyone inevitably ends up anyway.

The façade blends rustic charm with clean lines. Natural stone cladding wraps the primary masses, while horizontal wood siding softens the gables and central volume. Trim is kept simple and sturdy. A standing-seam metal roof with moderate pitches ties the wings together and adds a crisp, modern edge. Twin stone chimneys anchor the ends and give the house a calm, grounded presence.

The main floor spans 50 ft in width and 30 ft in depth, giving about 1,500 sq ft of interior space. The plan is classic and clear: social spaces in the center, bedrooms to each side, service rooms tucked neatly along the back. Circulation is straightforward, so getting lost would require genuine effort.

You arrive at a full-width front porch, which leads into a central entryway and short hall. Ahead sits the living room, flanked by the dining room and open kitchen, forming one continuous shared space with direct access to the rear terrace. This creates a strong front-to-back axis and easy flow for daily life and those slightly chaotic family gatherings.

To the left of the living room is the more private bedroom wing. Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 sit at the front and rear corners, sharing Bathroom 1, which includes a tub/shower, toilet, and vanity. This side works well for kids, guests, or that hobby you swear is “just a side project.”

To the right of the central living area is the second bedroom wing and utility zone. Bedroom 2 is at the front with its own nearby Bathroom 2, again with full facilities. Behind the kitchen are the Laundry room and separate Utility room, keeping mechanicals and chores out of sight yet easy to reach. A rear door connects this wing to the terrace for quick outdoor access.
