Last updated on · ⓘ How we make our floor plans

This is a compact two-story cottage with a tall stance and a precise footprint. Efficient planning, bright spaces, and just enough drama to make the mailbox jealous.
Facade leans Victorian with playful gingerbread brackets and arched windows. Siding mixes horizontal lap and shingle accents, painted deep red with cream trim. A petite front porch frames the entry with tidy posts and scrollwork. Roofing is a steep gable with architectural asphalt shingles—crisp, durable, and well-behaved.

We have more facade options of this design:
Forest Green Siding

The facade switches to forest green, instantly deepening this tall cottage’s presence—like a pine tree in Sunday best.
Cream trim, brackets, and gingerbread now snap with contrast, tracing the steep gables and that arched upper window in crisp outlines. Lap siding reads as bold, tidy bands, and the porch gable’s shingled triangle shows off like a small crown.
The richer hue sharpens silhouettes: corbels, spandrels, and balusters feel hand-carved rather than shy. The honey-toned door glows warmer against the green, while corner boards and eave returns look more sculpted, more intentional.
Even the layered rooflines seem tiered and deliberate—color doing the heavy lifting without breaking a sweat.
Red Siding with Green Trim

Changed to bold red siding with green trim, the facade now crackles with contrast. The green snaps around the steep front gable, scroll-cut brackets, and bargeboards, outlining every flourish.
Arched second-story windows leap forward under their new frames. Even the tiny porch—turned posts and a tidy balustrade—reads sharper and happier.
Color now acts as the architect. Green corner boards, casings, and beam trims ladder the eye up the narrow, tower-like mass.
Deep red clapboards enrich shadow lines beneath the cross-gable, while the wood door glows like a friendly ember. The update heightens the Gothic vibe and makes the house look taller, tidier, and just a bit cheeky.
White Exterior Paint

Repainted white, the facade turns sugar-cube crisp: lap siding and scalloped gable shingles fuse into a bright canvas, while shadows from the gingerbread brackets, porch corbels, and that tall arched window do the highlighting. The slender, towered massing reads taller and tidier—like the house ironed its shirt.
The new white makes the warm wood door and dark roof punchier, and the cream casings and muntins outline the arched glazing without shouting. Porch railing and fretwork look finer and lacier, the nested gables more precise; same charming bones, just in a sharper tux.
Black Color Siding

Recast in black, the facade shifts from quaint to dramatic—like a tiny house wearing a tux. The matte tone sharpens every shadow line on the clapboard, making the steep gables, scroll-cut bargeboards, and brackets read as crisp silhouettes.
Arched window casings now pop as bold cutouts, exaggerating the building’s verticality and giving the towered front a moody, modern-Gothic snap.
Down at the porch, the blacked-out posts, spandrels, and balustrade merge into a single graphic frame, while the warm wood door becomes the star without even trying.
The shed roof and trim details appear slimmer and more precise, almost eyeliner for the eaves. Window muntins turn into fine gridwork against the dark field, so the whole facade looks taller, tighter, and just a bit theatrical—in a good way.
Yellow Color Siding

Now painted a sunny yellow, the facade trades quiet for cheer. The hue energizes the horizontal siding and the shingled gable, making the cream trim and scroll-sawn brackets snap into focus.
The arched second-story window becomes a showpiece, framed like frosting against the new color. Even the petite porch railing reads lighter and more lacy.
Color also reorganizes the massing. Yellow pulls the eye up the narrow stack, from the porch pediment to the steep main gable, amplifying the cottage-Gothic lines.
The wood entry door and black lantern feel richer by contrast, while the window muntins look finer. Think lemon tart architecture—sweet, bright, and crisply detailed.
Pink Exterior Paint

Recast in pink, the facade trades quiet for playful. The new hue turns the tall, gabled cottage into a standout, making the cream trim, carved brackets, and lacy bargeboards snap with contrast.
Arched upper windows feel grander against the rosy siding, while the spindle porch and its cornice look crisply iced—almost confectionary.
The warm wood entry now reads like a caramel accent, and the corbels and finials appear more sculptural. A simple color swap, and the whole elevation winks.
