How We Make Our Designs

We get a lot of questions about our designs:

Are they real? Is this AI? Where can we get them?

We want to be transparent and on this page we will answer all your questions. And to do this best, we will outline how we make our designs step by step.

Step 1: From Idea to Concept

We live and breath architecture. Every day we dig into popular (and less known) architectural magazines, learning and trying to find every new (and old) design out there for inspiration. We then brainstorm the wildest (and traditional as well) ideas for concepts to offer the industry something fresh.

All these ideas become sketches and detailed proposals for design concepts. Now is the time to visualize them.

Step 2: Visualization

In the old days, this is where we’d fire up Revit or similar 3D modeling software and start drafting elevations and facades. Then we’d render them with textures. It used to be a very time consuming process. So much so, that sharing these designs for free would never make sense.

Now, we use generative AI tools to help us turn our ideas and sketches to stunning visuals. We use a number of AI architecture design tools, including our proprietary systems. All this to bring our ideas to life and share them with you for free.

It is important to note that we stand against the run-of-the-mill one-click AI generators and never use them. Our design process is human-guided in every case where AI is used, the designs are reviewed and revised many times over before they are polished for publishing.

Step 3: Presentation

We keep the presentation simple. Our designs are grouped by theme and published as an article on our site. This format may not be perfect but it’s what our traffic channels (social networks, search engines) dictate. We always try to make things better so we will keep updating this format in the future as preferences evolve.

Do we use AI to create text? Yes we use the help of AI, but it is always supervised, reviewed and edited. If any facts are provided in the articles, they are always fact-checked.

Step 4: Floor Plans

We make all floor plans 100% manually with CAD software. This process is very time consuming, that’s why we don’t provide free plans for all our designs. However, we keep working on them and keep adding new plans to share on our site.

Is there any AI involved in floor plans? Sometimes we use AI to add textures to floor plan images for presentation, but that’s as far as it goes. The floor plans cannot be created with generative AI for many reasons. We have all CAD source files for plans and maintain them manually.
