Last updated on · ⓘ How we make our floor plans

This is a compact one-bedroom courtyard house with a crisp modern plan. It is inward-looking, efficient, and centered on a generous open-air court.
The facade reads as restrained modern architecture. The massing is simple and geometric, with smooth light-toned wall surfaces, tall dark-framed openings, and minimal ornament. Siding appears to be rendered stucco or plaster. Roofing is a dark standing-seam metal hip roof wrapped around the central courtyard, giving the home a sharp, tailored profile.
These floor plan drafts are available for download as printable PDF files. They are easy to print, easy to mark up, and oddly satisfying to study over coffee.

Main Floor

The main floor measures about 30 feet wide by 38 feet deep overall. Its layout forms a ring around an open inner courtyard of roughly 16 by 23 feet. Entry is centered at the front. Living spaces line the sides, the bedroom sits at the rear, and service rooms tuck into the corners. Clean planning. No maze behavior.
- Foyer — Centered entry space with a straight visual link to the courtyard.
- Living Room — Located along the left side. Long, calm, and directly connected to the house’s bright center.
- Kitchen — Set along the right side with a linear counter arrangement and quick access to the pantry.
- Pantry — Placed in the rear-right corner. Small room, big usefulness.
- Bedroom — Positioned across the rear center for privacy, between the bath zone and pantry side.
- Bathroom — Tucked into the rear-left corner and placed close to the bedroom.
- Closet — Adjacent to the bathroom. Compact, but it keeps clutter on a short leash.
- Utility — Front-left corner room for laundry or household functions.
- Storage — Front-right corner storage room, convenient near the entry.
- Inner Courtyard — The core of the plan. It is not counted in the enclosed area, but it absolutely steals the scene.
