Last updated on · ⓘ How we make our floor plans

This compact, single-story cottage pairs Scandinavian-inspired architecture with a practical one-bedroom layout. The design provides 784 square feet, with connected living spaces and a covered front porch.
The floor plans were created from the house’s visual concept image and may not be 100% accurate. Every effort was made to reproduce the design as accurately as possible.
The facade combines light-toned vertical board siding with a dark stone-clad base. A steep gable roof carries dark standing-seam metal roofing, echoed by the lower porch canopy. Slim black posts, dark window frames, and a natural-wood entrance door give the simple form a crisp, warm finish.

Main Floor

The main floor measures 28 ft by 28 ft, with a stated area of 784 sq ft. Living, dining, and kitchen spaces form a continuous zone along the left side. The bedroom occupies the front right, while the bathroom and service rooms sit toward the rear.
The front entrance opens beside the living room and connects to a hallway serving the bedroom, bathroom, pantry, and utility room. This arrangement keeps everyday circulation separate from the sleeping space. A rear kitchen door provides a second entrance, and the laundry opens directly from the kitchen.
Storage is distributed by purpose. A separate pantry keeps groceries close to food preparation—and countertops off storage duty. The bedroom has a dedicated closet, while separate laundry and utility rooms keep household functions out of the main living spaces.
